I'm an Auntie!

  • Apr. 13th, 2008 at 6:49 PM

Finally!

This has been a very emotional time as my brother's wife has had about 5 miscarriages before this beautiful baby girl was born. She was in terrible pain this whole week due to adhesions on her uterus. It has been a rocky pregnancy for her but the result is beautiful. My father even cried on the phone and I've never heard him cry. He said she's "perfect", and upon meeting her, I can't help but agree.

I never thought my goofy looking brother could make such a beautiful little thing.

Pictures coming soon.

This is the first grandbaby of our immediate family so it's very special for my mom and my dad (divorced).

I feel so honored being an auntie of little Caraleena.

I just had to share this <3

Say CHEEESE!

Taking a break away from the city.

  • Apr. 4th, 2008 at 6:36 AM

I'm back in the city now and missing it more than ever. I took my whippets to the acreage because I thought they really could use the run and wide open space and was I ever right. I was too excited to see them run at full bore so I didn't get the chance to take a lot of pictures. A lot of the pictures were inside.

<3 to my dogs!

Ever feel like everything is going BOOM?

  • Mar. 28th, 2008 at 4:54 PM

First of all, I don't have a lot of room to complain. I've always had a roof over my head, I've never been in SERIOUS financial trouble (though I am carrying a high enough balance to make me uncomfortable), I've never truly been alone, and I've always had friends I could reach out too even though most of them only are on the computer.

That being said:

That felt good. Sometimes, just typing up a storm makes me feel a lot better :)

I'm going to be gone for a few days taking a much needed break at my old home. I may or may not check my LJ.

OOUUUTT!

Don't usually watch American Idol but...

  • Mar. 25th, 2008 at 5:42 PM

This season of American Idol is amazing. I normally watch it but David Cook (I had goosebumps after tonights performance) and David Archuleta are amazing.

I still have goosebumps.

GOATS DON'T GET GOOSEBUMPS!

I'm a reality TV junkie - sue me!

I'm back!

I'm planning on hitting the suiting world again soon!

I've missed it far too much!

I'd write more but I'm too lazy right now. :)

WOOOO

Wow I'm a retard. YAY SHIRTZ! I found these gems at a Thrifties. And that's the end of that story.

Bags, work and AC oh my!

  • Jan. 26th, 2007 at 8:14 PM

*EDIT*- MY BAG IS HERE! YAAAY! It went to Salt Lake City and to Denver! All contents are accounted for. *BOOGIE*

My bag is supposedly coming in an hour - an hour and a half from the airline. I'm not getting my hopes up because last time they 'found my bag' it was a big plastic cannister. Which wasn't my bag.

Anyways, looks like we might just be going to AC. I completely blame [info]sophiecabra and [info]aryte. I was not planning to go at all, because I feel really weird about flying with my suit (having to explain it, etc etc). Anyone have any tips on airline travel? Since my bags were lost, I think I am a little nervous to take anything of value under the bellie of da plane. Please share any advice.

Today was a crazy day at work. For those who do not know, I'm a special needs TA working with a team of 4 in a really rough pre-kindergarten program. A couple of the kids are violent, the rest just like to scream and hit a bit and run down the hallway when I'm not looking. I had to restrain one of the bigger kids in the afternoon class because it got a little out of hand. I don't like restraining but this is the first time I have done it at this job. The boy was terrified of me for about an hour after the fact, because I had always been the gentle one. Ah well - THE BAD PLUDGE EMERGES. I do love my job, though it comes with its ups and downs - not excluding complete exhaustion.

In other news, I am planning on losing 20-30 lbs before July. I really do not know how I am going to do this, but I am going to try really hard. There is a gym not too far away but I might travel a bit to get to a gym that offers discounts for teachers. I need a diet plan that allows for some leway in the form of sweets, and uncooked vegetables. I'm alright with eating most things - but I cannot stand cooked vegetables. And I need to eat things that are easy to make or I am just going to go back to chips and dip. Any suggestions on this are appreciated too. I've never stuck to a solid diet before. The slimfast shakes are catching my eye because of how easy they are, but do they work well? Does one shake really keep you full? Does it taste like poo?

Anyhoo, I'm going to go await my bag in sweating nervousness. Please cross your fingers!

COME ON BAG! GO BAG GO!

Stupid Luggage - Awesome FC2007

  • Jan. 25th, 2007 at 6:33 PM

Oh my GOD! FC was sooooooo much fun. Not only was it my first convention ever, but it was also my first time wearing a fursuit. Talk about diving in with both feet - or however the saying goes. I met soooo many cool people, and I was really sad to have had to go home after it was all said and done. I had an absolute blast, thanks mostly to the people I went with and who I met while I was there. The SecondLife crew was so much fun (I love you guys to pieces - BUNK <3 DRAX <3 TOBIAS <3 ELTEE <3 ETC ETC) and then when we met the 'mixedcandy' crew, the coolness factor escalated to dangerous heights.

Everyone was so damned cool, welcoming and down-to-earth. There was no freaky furry vibes (Apologies but.. there were as many weirdos at the convention as there were awesome people) from any of them. [info]sophiecabra - I lub joo! My goat sister! While other people may have been a little territorial about another costume of the same species, Spain was damned nice and awesome. Of course, in my defence, I will say that I ordered a goat before I knew of another one! But that is just because some people think that I am just a copy-cat. But thank you so much, Spain. I have met a truly great friend - you are missed already! [info]latinvixen02 has to be thanked of course, as she was equally as sweet as Spain and her team made Pludge so frikkin adorable. Thank you for inviting us to hang out with you, and accepting Arito and I so quickly. [info]lord_shadows is a cute aussie who I had the pleasure of meeting as well - good luck with those damned bellhops, hey? Your suit is adorable and I'm glad we got to share the first time fursuiting. It was comforting to know that someone was learning the ropes too!

[info]aryte you're very sweet. It was nice for Arito to meet someone who had so much in common with himself - mostly long distance girlfriends! You are hilarious and your laugh is sickly contageous. I don't know any of the other LJs of anyone else we were hanging out with in the fursuit lounge and the parade (Actually, just found [info]blaez!), but I want to thank you too for being accomadating and very welcoming. I don't fit in well with many groups of people, but you certainly made me feel right at home throughout the whole thing.

Even though the airline lost my bag and has yet to find it, I still had a very nice time. We wern't planning on going to AC until Spain and Aryte made cute faces at us, and twisted our rubber arms. Now we'll have to go. WE WILL FIND A WAY!

lub joo, [info]arifox. Damn you for getting me into the highly addictive world of fursuiting. Ass. ;)

[info]jerrinfox the next time you make me laugh that hard, you get a hoof to the junk. Got it? ;)

I'd write more, but writing about my lost luggage makes me wanna BARF. <3
I know i'm leaving some people out, but I love you all. DONT COMPLAIN K.

Thank you all soooo much.
